Case StudyAt the Eden Project, within the HotHouse Leadership programme, began a long-term partnership with Pukka Herbs to design and deliver a whole team development programme shaped by Pukka’s values and connection to nature.
"A total inspiration. Expertly and carefully held by a group of special people. I feel like we have been physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually challenged and nourished. The organisation of the programme has been seamless."
Beginning with a consultation phase in August 2016, we worked closely with Pukka’s founders and HR team to co-create Chrysalis a bespoke development journey experienced by everyone at Pukka. The programme ran over several years and concluded in 2022, becoming a steady thread through the organisation.
Chrysalis was shaped around Pukka’s “wisdom seeds”: values already present in the business and ready to grow. The aim was to ensure every person felt aligned and connected, not just to the work, but to each other. The programme focused on self-leadership and team trust, while strengthening connection to the natural world at the heart of Pukka’s purpose.
Using nature as teacher and metaphor, HotHouse created spaces for deep reflection and conversation. Learning emerged through experience and story, guided by careful design and facilitation. Sessions were designed to feel grounded and energising, balancing depth with fun.
The impact was cultural and shared. Chrysalis helped embed Pukka’s values into daily behaviour, strengthened relationships across teams, and supported a deep sense of belonging. It also reinforced a shared commitment to care for the planet, shaping how Pukka grows and makes decisions for the future.
