Testimonials
Pam has hosted some of the most powerful events I have seen at Eden. Her soft, good humour and sensitive, discreet approach to leadership is beguiling because it begins with a journey for both the group and the individuals where people hear themselves once more. The background noise starts to fade and, with friendly guidance, they regain confidence in their emotional intelligence and, in doing so, feel able to lead and participate with a comfort that comes from being attuned and awake to everything around them.
Some may feel that the language sounds “alternative”. Make no mistake, this is a muscular, rewarding and emotionally enriching encounter that will give you the agency to shape your future and, for many people, glimpse new horizons. It’s different for everyone, but guaranteed you will find it rewarding and possibly you’ll like yourself a lot more at the end than you did at the start.

There are many things I like about Pam and the way she interacts with the children, what comes to mind immediately is her respect, curiosity, open minded, open hearted and playful approach to meeting the children where they are at. As a result the children warm to her quickly.
Not only is she good at planning and preparing for sessions, she deeply creative, thorough, good at assessing and managing risks, and happy to run about playing games the children like too. She is also a deep listener. Her use of language is thoughtful and supportive too, and so the children respond well to her requests and input.
I can thoroughly recommend Pam as a forest school leader as I believe she will be professional, reliable and committed to the wholistic development of the children, and work well with the staff to offer something that enhances the educational offering of your school.

As a Lead Nurse, I spend most of my time supporting others, so having the chance to step back and be supported myself was powerful. Pam holds the work with real integrity and care. The connection with nature, and the space to look at my own leadership felt deeply important. Nothing felt forced or overcomplicated, just grounded guidance that allowed real change to happen. I left with a clearer sense of myself and how I want to lead in my work and life.

How do you teach about mass extinctions or climate chaos without people turning away in grief and anxiety?
Fortunately at Eden Project we had Pam Horton, who blends learning with deep wisdom, compassion and a spirit that showed that with love, great things are possible.
I watched Pam inspire many people across generations from tiny tots to hardened business leaders, all were warmed and transformed by her guidance and came to understand that the future is ours to make. She is a living blessing, a joy to work with – if you have the chance you should grab it.

I've known Pam for 25 years and worked with her on a range of projects and with a range of age groups. Pam connects and reconnects people - of all ages and interests - with the rest of natural world in a deeply authentic way. She has an authoritative and very calm presence, speaks from the heart and her experience and insight help both individuals and teams reflect and navigate complexity with confidence and compassion. I have attended one of her courses and was deeply moved and have heard many positive stories from other attendees. She is a driving force in helping us all reconnect with nature and each other – a welcome loving voice for people and planet.
